Why I Want To Volunteer
Helping others matters to me because I’m capable of doing it. If someone needs help moving, I have two hands. If someone needs someone to listen, I have two ears. If someone is having a hard day, I have compassion and presence to offer. I believe that when we are able to help, there is value in showing up for others.
What I Hope You Feel After Hosting Me
I hope hosts feel lighter, supported, and comfortable having me there. I’d love to be someone who contributes positively to the environment and leaves such a good impression that I’m welcomed back for another adventure.
What Jobs I'm Open to
I’m very open-minded when it comes to volunteer environments. Whether it’s a hostel, community project, farm, guesthouse, or something completely new, I’m willing to learn, adapt, and give my best. I enjoy stepping into unfamiliar situations and proving to myself that I can grow anywhere.
Stepping Up
In past jobs and experiences, I’ve stepped up by learning new roles when others were unavailable, arriving early, staying late, and asking for extra guidance when needed so I can do things properly. I’m confident enough to help, and humble enough to keep learning.
Front House or Back House
I genuinely enjoy both people and independence. I can connect easily, communicate well, and bring positive energy to a team, but I’m also comfortable working quietly on my own and staying focused. I value balance and can adapt to what the environment needs.
Workplace Conflict
I respect people who are positive, adaptable, direct, and unafraid to be themselves. I admire those who challenge limitations and have the courage to stand out rather than shrink to fit in. I’m inspired by people who are becoming something greater, rather than simply settling. I tend to not only view criticism as negativity. I believe feedback can be most valuable tools for self-awareness, growth, and redirection when approached with maturity.
