Fun Facts
I’m someone who genuinely enjoys my own company. I started going to the movies by myself when I was 19 and living alone in a new city without knowing anyone. What began as independence turned into one of my favorite rituals. I also love swimming with a mermaid tail and have taken it into oceans, ponds, lakes, rivers, and pools. It’s playful, freeing, and a reminder not to lose your sense of fun.
Who I Am
I’m naturally social and open to people. I talk to strangers, compliment people when I notice something genuine, and I love those small unexpected moments of connection — laughing with someone in a store aisle or meeting a stranger who later becomes a long-term friend. I believe life becomes richer when you stay open to people.
What Makes Me Feel Good
Music and dancing will always put me in a good mood. I love all kinds of music, and I think joy often starts with movement, rhythm, and letting yourself be present. I also romanticize boredom. To me, boredom is not something negative - it can mean peace, opportunity, creativity, and the privilege of having time to simply exist without rushing.
What I Appreciate
More than conversation, I love communication in all forms. Through art, music, body language, actions, or words, I'm fascinated by how people express themselves and connect. I can talk about almost anything with almost anyone, but true communication goes deeper than speaking.
Unexpected Fact
One unexpected fact about me is that I was an extremely picky eater growing up. Then I lost my sense of taste for two years. When it came back, I decided I would try everything at least once. That experience completely changed my relationship with food and sparked my love for cooking and baking. I've learned I don't like octopus, but I do love trying something new.
Personal Touch
My Perfect Day
A perfect free day starts with me waking up naturally at 6:30, going to the kitchen, and eating an orange (or a mango). I live close to the water, so I watch the sunrise as I walk to the shore. It’s warm enough that a swimsuit with a cover-up is all I need. My favourite sandals get kicked off my feet, and I go for a swim as the trees wake up.
When I’m done, I lie on the sand with my book and get through a couple of chapters. The sun is out, and people are starting to set up on the beach. I go back home to shower and get ready to head out again.
I roam around shops, buy a few things, then stop for lunch and try something new. The place is quiet, so I decide to sit there for a while simply because I have the time.
Around dinner time, I meet up with other solo travellers I’ve met on my journey. We play games, chat about our lives, and stay up a little too late laughing. I come home to a made bed and fall asleep feeling soothed.
